Spiritual Sight

“The lamp of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, the whole body shall be full of light.”  Matthew 6:22

As you know, when you become a believer in Christ, your sight is different. You can actually read the Bible and understand it when before you couldn’t. This is the lifting of the veil, the ability to begin to use your spiritual sight. Same sight you will use to see God’s promises for yourself. This is the sight they speak of in this verse in order to align yourself spiritually with all heavenly things. One of the main weapons that defeats us in spiritual warfare is our physical sight, what we see with this sight is meant to pass away. This is the sight we must refuse to believe is God’s best for us. What gives light to our eyes is believing in the unseen, the allowance of our faith to grow. And as God’s promises begin to manifest within our lives, we learn to trust, believe, and be encouraged by this new sight.
